October brings the fall harvest to our Pumpkinseed Hill Farm with pumpkins, squash, gourds and handmade crafts.

We grow all of our pumpkins here on the farm and with our decades long experience we have chosen a selection of varieties to please everyone. Whether your perfect pumpkin is tall and narrow or short and squat, you can find one here amongst our 25 acres of pumpkin patches. Our pumpkins range in size from a baseball to giant overstuffed beach balls. We select pumpkin cultivars that have a deep, rich orange color and sturdy, durable stems for handles.

There are also gourds and squash in every shape and size making the Halloween decorating and Thanksgiving culinary possibilities seem endless! Many of the winter squash can be stored for several months in your home. Come and stock up on some of the most delicious squash varieties that you will only find here at the farm - and enjoy them all winter long. See our great recipes.

Our barnyard is full of fall flowers, colorful Indian corn, hay bales and cornstalks. For a tasty treat there are Empire apples, cider, and cookies. Hayrides are available daily to take you to and from the pumpkin fields. Weekend visitors can venture through the family Corn Maze.

One of our most exciting weekends will be our 23rd annual UNICEF Children’s Festival on October 25 and 26. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes, get their faces painted, and take part in gourd tosses, pumpkin decorating, sing-a longs, wagon rides, and other fun activities.

We remind our visitors and friends that harvesting farm products can be a physically demanding activity. Please come suitably attired, especially with appropriate footgear that has good support, coverage, and treads as well as a jacket, since Pumpkinseed Hill can get quite windy at times.

Please remember to leave your pet at home during pumpkin season. Since pumpkins and squashes are food crops, pets are not allowed in the farmyard. Thank you for your cooperation.
